In case you don't know who I am, I'm one of those super-opinionated guys on the Internet who helps people like you build amazing businesses and realize your full business potential.

In the past four years I've built two amazing software companies and sold one of them. I started my first business while I was living in Europe serving in the military. I had no idea what I was doing, and had to figure out how to grow my business without any direct help.

That sucked.

I wasted months of my life pursuing things that didn't matter, didn't add to my well-being, and didn't grow my company's bank account. In fact, it did quite the opposite! I spent tens of thousands of my own money on things that added no benefit to the business. I'd have been better off flushing that money down a freaking toilet.

Eventually, after months of staying up through the night and taking calls in all sorts of foreign countries (I flew around on an airplane for a living), I landed my first client—an orthodontics office, earning an $800 monthly retainer. One client led to two, which eventually led to several dozen. I was eventually able to grow that first business to more than $1M in annual revenue (and keep it profitable!), and was fortunate enough to sell it in 2014 for a handsome chunk of change.

Throughout the course of building those companies, I've fucked up in almost every way possible: I've missed deadlines, burned loads of cash, and stayed awake at night wondering when (not if) the U.S. government was going to swoop down on me and send me away to a deserted island for not paying my taxes (more on this later).

Nowadays, I spend my time a) growing my latest business, North Labs, and b) helping people just like you launch, grow, and realize their true business potential with my podcast, The Mavericks Project.

I've done it, and I want to teach you what I know.

There are a few things that you should know up-front:

  1. I am a real person growing a real business, same as you. I don't pretend that building a profitable business is easy, because it's not. In fact, one of my core philosophies in business is, "Learn to love getting kicked in the teeth". That's just the nature of the beast—it's what building a business is all about. If you don't want to get kicked in the teeth, keep sitting there in your underpants and clock into your 9–5 tomorrow morning. I can't help you.

  2. Because I'm a real person growing a real business, the lessons I've learned growing my business will apply directly to you. I have been exactly where you are before, and I want to share every single detail with you.

  3. I build and sell online courses, and I also run an exclusive community of really cool people building really cool business. Some of my courses are released to the public, but most are only available to my community of entrepreneurs. Our community is the best way to interact with business owners on a daily basis who will serve as mentors to you as you grow your business. We'd love to have you join us.
